Poplar Point
n February 2008, Clark Realty Capital was selected as the developer of the 110-acre Poplar Point site. In early November 2007, DC government received seven responses from developers. The District’s site plan estimates potentially 1,400 to 2,300 housing units including 30% affordable, two to four office buildings, one or two hotels, retail and entertainment space, and 70 acres of park environment including a cultural park, civic memorials, and wetlands.
In 2006, a team lead by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill Architects was selected to prepare the site plan.
