Mt Vernon Triangle finally connecting the dots! It is getting HOT up in here!

It’s truly amazing that despite the recession DC is rocking in certain areas–there is steady growth in viability that makes an area desireable and practical for great living. Mt Vernon Triangle is that area and it is HOT HOT HOT–right there near the Cato Institute, the Washington Convention Center, the New Marriott Marquis Hotel (that will have 5 outdoor accessible and sidewalk serving dining venues), the renovated classic Museum of Washington DC, the art deco architectural place-to-be called The Whitman, NPR headquarters, the new GREEN Safeway (has more organic choices than Wholes Foods–it does!) and the hip place for great food called Busboys and Poets.  I mean folks—NOW I wanna live there–easy access to 295/395, 2 blocks from Gallery Place, Verizon Center and Chinatown—and now I can go grocery shopping near my home! And there is a real sense of critical mass of people who seem to be going places with their lives to encourage me. Dare I say, this is really where we can see Obama’s dream coming true—a new people for a new city and new attitude of hip, progressive community.  It’s happening before our eyes. See you there!
