SmartBikes Abound!

I love this city. DC is my home and I can’t talk enough about her. One of the newest things I have seen in the city is the SmartBike staging locations popping up. I spotted this one pictured above just South of Logan Circle.

DC is a European inspired city, from our large Avenues, to our crazy circles DC is really a city that can best traveled on foot, bike or scooter.

The bikes use a card/subscription service that gains you access to the bikes and all the staging locations. I personally think the savings in fuel and time can really make bike rentals a great way to get around the city.

DC’s traffic problems aren’t getting any better, I believe programs like this and the increased scooter usage in DC will help offset the traffic problem in the future. Do you know of any other transit/bike programs? Will you be using the DC SmartBike program?
